Something wrong with my truck. Any ideas?
My truck lately has been heating up really quick. And as i'm driving i hear what sounds like water or some other liquid being dripped on my motor and it steams up and smells funky. And now when i throw it into reverse i hear a rattle sound. Don't know what's leaking or rattling. I have a 1994 ford f150 straight six motor 4x4. Any ideas on what's going on? Easy fix? Expensive?
Typical Ford
Water pump shot is my guess. Look for water dripping out below the shaft area of the pump. There's a weep hole there that releases water if the pump seal goes bad. Could also just be a bad hose, either on the engine or heater core. Or maybe a freeze plug in the block or a small leak in the radiator itself.
- My buddy has a 99 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 that is leaking oil from rear passenger wheel. Any ideas on why? The brake cover is not pushed all the way against the hub. There's a half inch gap between them. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. So it has nothing to do with the wheel bearing?
- I have a 1997 ford ranger XLT and there's something wrong with my heater? When I turn the heat selector it doesn't do anything. Could there be something wrong with the vacuum. My truck is a 2.3 l 4 cylinder with 8 sparkplugs. How can I fix this? Also could something be preventing the trap doors from opening when I put it to a different selection
- Any ideas on all season light truck tires? I have a ford ranger and have decent tires now but am looking for something with a little better traction on rain and snow without having to add weight to bed for winter on snow so much.
- How to give an idea for something to like Chevy or ford or something? I have an idea that I know would make a lot of money for them but I want to tell them, not anyone else about it, and should I try and patent it first?
