Check to see if pin & clip dropped out and also check all the things that have been suggested

In spite of some previous answers old hydraulic fluid will not cause a sudden loss of clutch operation. Likely causes could be a loss of hydraulic fluid, bad master cylinder, bad slave cylinder or failed vacuum booster. Check the least expensive first, leak causing low fluid level, then bi-passing master cylinder and last the slave cylinder as its the most expensive.
