Do you think buying a used certified truck from a rental car company is a good idea?
I was looking to buy a certified ford f150 from a respectable dealership. It has the certified warranty with it. It is a 2017 with 17,000 miles on it. It came from enterprise rental cars. Do you think the car was beat up as its time as a rental car or it being a certified car they would have found its problems.
I just LOVE my Enterprise certified 2013 Kia Soul that I bought in 2014! I would never buy a vehicle any other way again.
Its like flipping a coin… Its got high miles on it for it being a '17 model.
I would ask for maint. Records.
Go over it with a fine tooth comb if you do decide to buy it.
Unfortunately, rental vehicles are typically neglected and abused. High risk.
Someone or probably persons unknown have put 17,000 miles on that truck in a year. Were those 17,000 miles highway miles or forest track?
Have you seen and inspected the vehicle?
Have you seen it's service/maintenance history?
Does it have good tires?
What is the bodywork like? Has the truck body been given a beating?
All these things need to be checked, by YOU. Then YOU can decide whether it's a good deal or not.
Ask your mechanic/technician. It may cost $100-150, but it beats blowing $30k on 60-72 months car notes.
There's no telling how the truck was treated as a rental vehicle. It's quite likely that it DID see a bit of abuse, BUT with only 17,000 miles on it, and a "certified" used vehicle with a written warranty, I would expect it to be in reasonable condition.
I rented a 2017 ford f150 from enterprise rental cars one time. I did neutral drops at every light, caught air over some railroad tracks and ****** my girlfriend in her *** in the backseat.
"Certfied" by whom? Test drive it and get a mechanic to look at it. For the most part, avoid rental cars. They were driven by people who did not own the vehicle and could not care less.
My thought is that it was only rented to haul stuff by people who don't normally drive trucks…
17,000 miles of possible abuse… Flip a coin.
Yes i think so
- Typical lib thinking? Ford had no idea when it happened, had no idea how she got there, no idea how she left, clueless who was there? And despite that every person she listed as a witness made a statement in a sense said Ford was wrong… The lib brain… Get even at Trump…> yep - Kavanaugh did it.
- What should i do if i have an idea for Ford Motor Company cars? I have an idea for Ford Cars. It's sort of sub-division of cars, but it's for Ford. I don't know who to contact or what business steps to take. I love Mustangs. It's just an idea without any preparation (ex: model). I wanna make sure I have representation of my idea. By the way, I'm only fifteen.
- Can my idea work? Car buying? So, I want to buy a 2012 Ford Mustang V6 base model. I know… Income the comments about masculinity. Whatever. I'm in the snow belt of Ohio (I'm aware its not the safest option) and I wanted to get snow tires for it as well. Now here's my idea/question. Can I use the trade value of my current car toward steel rims and snow tires with the dealership or would I have to sell it privately or for scrap metal? I will be putting a cash down payment as well.
- Do you think buying a 2000 ford focus with 161,000 miles a good car purchase? For 1,000? I'm wondering if anyone will recommend, a 2000 ford focuse with 161,000 mileage as my first car, I recently got my drivers permit I want a car to practice my driving skills and I stubbled into the 2000 ford focus.
