Coolant Temperature Sending Unit Location?
I can't find the coolant temperature sending unit location on my truck. It's a 1986 f150 with a 300 straight six out of a '78 ford. I've looked all over the internet and so far it's in none of the locations suggested, such as above the starter on the passenger side of the block, or in front of the distributor on the block.
If it's a 1978 engine, it would probably only have a sensor for the temperature gauge or warning light. There won't be many wires attached to the engine other than the plug wires, oil pressure sender and temperature sender.

- What is a hydraulic pressure unit? Recently my husband and I got a code reader for our broken down 2007 Ford Freestyle SEL. The code it came up with was P0942, which is for a hydraulic pressure unit. I (nor my husband) have heard of this. I have looked it up with no luck. Does anyone know what they do and how much it would cost to fix?
- 2002 ford taurus coolant bubbling out of coolant tank cap? Coolant is bubbling out of the tank cap on my taurus. The coolant is a bit over the fill to line. The coolant is the normal green color. I don't think it having a bit of extra coolant in the tank is doing this. The cap itself maybe? I just bought this car and it didn't do this until today.
