On the radiator cover under the hood it says this vehicle is equipped with a with a fuel pump shut-off switch is why it won't start

All my Fords have the location in the user manual. My explorer was above the fuse box in the foot well my expedition has it in the tire jack compartment, my ranger no idea lol I did learn a good trick on the push to rest switches. When they keep popping push them in with a pointed object & force a tooth pick in the gap on the side, but this disables the switch! It will get you to the Ford dealership where they can replace it so less chance of a fire in roll over situations. Happy Fording. Peace
See page 136 of your owners manual.

click on owners manual go to the page. It's in passenger's foot well behind the
kick panel, push button down.
My 98 uses the furthest left of the 4 small ones in a row ( 4th one in from bottom right) as the fuel pump relay
Try swapping it with another. Shade tree troubleshooting yes, but effective. See if the problem moves to another circuit.
In the passenger side foot well near the firewall most ford trucks and SUV's should have a fuel pump inertia switch as rough roads or forces from a collision can trip the switch. Reaching into the foot well and resetting the switch should make the engine start.
- Location of 1998 Ford Taurus fuel pump. Does it have a fuel cut-off switch? Car shut down suddenyl without warning. New battery and cranks but will not start. Suspect bad fuel filter, 130K miles and fuel filter has never been replaced.
- My 1999 ford ranger has 20 lbs of pressure on the fuel line. Do i need a fuel pump? After I tested the pressure and shut the motor off the pressure went down to 0 quick. When I just turn the key I don't get any pressure
- Owner of 2003 ford focus, car keeps needing a jump. Last time I did when the cables came off the car shut off? The car lasted a couple of days the last time I jumped it. I believe It's just my battery but how would I know it has anything to do with my accelerator as well?
