When to change sparkplugs on 2010 ford explorer?

Sparkplugs don't really have a duration, they will falter by chance and or just need their gap reajusted

100k miles or so. But, you could pull a couple and check the condition

The recommended interval is 100k miles, but realistically, I'd go no further that 75k miles. If you have the 3 valve 4.6L engine, then you will definitely want to change them well before 100k. The 3 valve 4.6L uses a 2-piece plug that had a tendency to break in half when you try to remove it after it's been there for 100k miles.

  • 2005 Jeep Cherokee OR 2010 Ford Explorer to tow boat cross country? I need help choosing my next vehicle. I will be moving from VA to CO in a month, which means that I will be towing my 18ft Bowrider that whole way. Currently I'm looking at a 2005 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with 116,000 miles priced at 8500, and also a 2010 Ford Explorer with 113,000 miles for 7500. Which would be the wiser more reliable choice? Any other vehicles I should be considering in that price range?
  • 2003 Ford Explorer 4x4 4.6L V8 oil change? I have a 2003 Ford Explorer 4x4 with the 4.6L V8 with about 137000 miles and it's due for an oil change and its the first since I have owned it but I do not know what the previous owner used. The manual tells me to use 5w20 but I have been told its probably better to use 10w40 because of the mileage but I don't know if this is true. Also full synthetic vs synthetic blend? Best brand? TIA for responses!
  • Why did the change oil light just come on in my car after an oil change? We have a 2016 Ford Escape and we just had the oil changed about 1000 miles ago at a Fox Ford near us. The oil light was not on when we went there and was not on after we left. It just came on now with a message saying that the oil needed to be changed. So what is causing this? I know the light doesn't need to be reset because it was not on before the oil change or afterwards until now.
  • Is 600 to 800 dollars a bit high to change 8 of those breakaway sparkplugs in a 2008 ford f-250 I understand that they can break off, but you can get the removal tool on amazon for under 50 bucks and a set of 8 plugs for around 70 bucks, but 800 bucks? Must be the time involved is all I can figure
