Is 160,000 miles too much for a car?
It is a 2005 Ford Explorer that a man is trying to sell me for 4,000$ , I'm buying from the app Letgo and it shows he has sold cars in the past. Is this a good deal?
No. Transmission problems are common in Explorers with high mileage.
Most likely not. All depends on condition that is hard to qualify
Yes too much for a ford
Explorers are great cars and can go 200,000 miles or more, but $4k is a lot for a car with that mileage. Figure major repair expenses, like a transmission, or engine computer in the next 30,000 or so miles.
Letgo has been a hangout for scammers and criminals. Be VERY careful.
