Is 100 000 miles on a car to much?

I'm getting a audi, chevy or ford maybe honda. I was just wondering which one is best if you have 100 000 miles.

Depends on the car. A Chevy is built to last, and could easily do another 100000. Audis are also reliable (although less so than Detroit steel), but a Honda will rust away after 20 years

American cars last about 160,000 miles, foreign cars about 250,000

So up to you which one you want. I have already had so many American cars and Foreign cars and the foreign cars win every time. Sad but true. So I buy foreign.

I would definitely go with the Honda for reliability. My first car was an accord with 220k and never had any issues.

It partially depends on the care and service it has had throughout it's life. My brother had a 72 Chevy Nova with a 350 that he drove 350,000 miles before crashing it into a bridge railing and giving up on it. My other brother had a Datsun pickup from1970 that he drove 270.000 miles before it rusted in half. Most cars will easily last 200,000 if you check all the oil and fluids regularly and fix any important items going bad like water pump. Brakes, and so forth.

A well maintained vehicle with 100,000 miles can be expected to go another 100,000, or more.

Depends on the make and model. Not all cars leave the factory equal. Some cars are better designed to begin with and can take more abuse than others. Audis are among the worst turds out there so I'd expect 5 years/100k miles before they start falling apart. German cars are probably the worst when it comes to the amount of abuse they can take and poor engineering in terms of designing stuff that breaks. GM and Ford are better, but their small cars in general are hardly any better. Their full sized trucks and certain vehicles like the Crown Vic should be able to pass 100k miles easily without too many big issues. Honda's these days tend to get to around 150k miles before they start having issues; they are no longer as good as the ones from the 90s.

It all depends on the years of the car if it's a 2005 and it has 100,000 miles it's okay but if it's a newer year that's to much
