- Check engine light came on, what could it be? I have a 2006 Ford Fusion. I had checked all the fluids. I bought it from a dealer, and everything was fine, except the check engine light. I told them I wouldn't purchase it unless they fixed the problem so they did and the check engine light was gone and that was 2 months and 2 thousand miles later. The car is running perfectly fine right now. Do you suggest I take it to a shop to get it fixed and to what the problem is?
