I have a 2005 Ford focus, check engine light came on?
Went and got the code. P0172. He said my car is "running too rich. "… I had crashed it a few months ago, and noticed I'm putting in more gas Than I ever had to. It was dying every now and then. Hasn't died in weeks. Check engine light came on two days ago. What could this mean?
It could be one of at least a couple dozen different things. Get a mechanic to check it out. You can't fix it yourself and if you keep driving it, attempting to save money, you'll ruin your car.

Uncle jed got it right also check the air cleaner it could be dirty change it ti increase air flow into the engine

I did some research and checked and replaced front speed sensors. It also had a broken sway bar link on passenger side which was replaced. It seems to not come out of 2nd gear. Sometimes shifts hard into Drive. Would a computer part need reset after the power steering line was replaced?
