My ford focus 2000 model check engine light just came on what could be the cause?
My Ford focus check engine light came on when l suddenly climbed a speed breaker. What could have caused the problem more so l just bought the vehicle thought not brand new, l am in Nigeria where you don't really find expert easily to know what wrong, what can my mechanic check to clear the light.
In the US we have about auto parts stores on nearly every block. They can check it for you.
It can be a dozen different things.
^in order to reset the KAM you actually have to hold the positive and negative terminals together so oit will discharge the li'l bit of energy left to support the KAM. Once you do that you'll have to go through a relearn strategy (drive it about 50 miles).
- Check engine light came on, what could it be? I have a 2006 Ford Fusion. I had checked all the fluids. I bought it from a dealer, and everything was fine, except the check engine light. I told them I wouldn't purchase it unless they fixed the problem so they did and the check engine light was gone and that was 2 months and 2 thousand miles later. - Would bad spark plug wires cause a check engine light? I just changed the valve cover gasket on my car. Then when I tried to start it, it started violently shaking and the check engine light turned on. The only thing I could think is that maybe the spark plug wires broke when I took them off.
