It has the 5.0 in it

Rip out all the door panels and seats all extra weight get performance air intake no little thing is really going to make it faster you need to put a supercharger in it or turbocharger or engine swap it which also requires new transmission if you turbo or supercharge it your going to need new parts for the engine so it can handle it

Just drop the exploder off a cliff! It will move faster than ever

The only way to increase top speed (make it faster) is to change the gearing, or increase tire diameter. Higher speed (lower ratio) differential gearing will increase top speed, while decreasing acceleration. That means that it will take longer from zero to any speed with the higher speed differential gears than it did with the originals, but you will be able to go at a higher top speed. IE: (This is an example and not real numbers available for your vehicle) If you replace 4.55: 1 differential gears that allowed a top speed of 100 mph with 3.55: 1 gears, the top speed will increase to 128 mph, but the zero to 60 time will go from say 10 seconds to more like 15 seconds.

Acceleration times are a direct result of power from the engine, so if you also increased the engine's horsepower to say double it's original, you could have the same acceleration times, but increase the top speed, or if you stayed with the original gearing, you would get to the old top speed quicker. That's why race cars need such high horsepower, so that they can accelerate quickly while getting high speeds due to the high speed gearing.

The same thing happens if you increase the diameter of the tires. (assuming they will still fit under the fenders!) The larger in diameter the tire, the less times per mile it needs to turn for any given speed. Turn it at the highest engine/gear speed and it wil cover more distance in any given time. That means it will have a higher mph than the smaller tires. It's larger and thus heavier and also puts more resistance to the gearing, so will take longer to reach any given speed and thus affect speed and acceleration just like gearing changes.

  • Media and the left are bent on believing Ford no matter what. Will she make up details to make sure her story is believable? So far her only witness has denied being there. Her details are so sketchy they are not really believable. But, Kavanaugh is being roasted anyway. This is just terrible. The point being, she could say ANYTHING at this point and the left would believe it. She can contradict herself (the number of people in the room) or she can flat out lie because we're not demanding any proof. It is really terrible what they are doing to Kavanaugh.
  • How to make my thunderbird faster? I have a 97 ford thunderbird Lx with the 4.6 modular v8 engine. I want to make it a bit faster for fairly cheap. I was thinking about getting a tune and another thing or two. Was thinking maybe and intake or exhaust system. Maybe a cat back exhaust or maybe a high flow cat converter? Any ideas on what would be better or Give me the most bang for my buck? Also if anyone could include links for any of the parts it would be so benificial!
