What are some good cars to make faster?

I want to build a car that no one would expect to be fast. Here are some cars I'm thinking about.

Which one would be a good car to make faster?

How about a Honda Civic coupe. This car has thousands of aftermarket parts available to customize styling and performance. Many other less popular cars, such as some you mentioned, do not.

Volvo 850. It's a good sleeper car. Some people put American V8s into them. You can also get a Honda Accord, the V6 model is very quick.

None of the cars you mentioned can handle performance mods. They're not designed to do so and is quite dangerous

  • Why are some Ford cars (like the Taurus and Focus) such unreliable cars? I'm looking at cars in the $3000 - $4500 range and I'm noticing a decent amount of Ford Taurus's and Focus's and out of all the cars that I see, these are two cars that just seem so unreliable. I test drove a Focus last year and it sounded like something was wrong with the engine.
