All 4 of my windows on my 2005 ford explorer xlt stopped working all at once. How can i fix this?

Check the fuses

'Usual' fault when they all stop at once is the master switch on the driver's arm rest. As to a fuse, there's only one fuse and it covers both the power locks & the power windows.

If they all stopped at the same time you're in luck (lol). That is normally a sign of either a blown fuse, a bad master switch on the driver's door or a bad electrical connection to that switch.

  • Power windows and power door locks not working on my ford ranger? I have a 2000 ford ranger lte and the power windows, door locks, and power mirrors are not working… Where is the fuse? Are they all on the same fuse? What do you think I need to check?
  • My cars functions stopped working all of sudden? So I have a 2011 Lincoln MKT 3.7L AWD, and as I was driving back home, the car suddenly stopped working. All electronics, and functions stopped working. The car continued going down in speed. I was lucky I pushed the button to start again and it started. The car was also recently serviced at a Ford dealership. The tank is also full. But what caused the car to turn off like that going 90km/h an hour? Year: 2011 Make: Lincoln Model: MKT 3.7L AWD Mileage: 126100km// 77000 Miles
  • Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
  • Windows wipers stopped working I have a 53 plate Ford focus cmax and whilst driving in the rain the other day the window wipers just stopped working. So when finally got home I changed the fuse and it kept blowing so on the Monday took it to the mechanic and he had it for a week and a half and they are still not fixed. He has checked the motor, wiring, fuse box and they are all fine. Before he had it you could hear the relay clicking when you flicked the switch but now you don't? Any advise would be very grateful.
