Windows wipers stopped working
I have a 53 plate Ford focus cmax and whilst driving in the rain the other day the window wipers just stopped working. So when finally got home I changed the fuse and it kept blowing so on the Monday took it to the mechanic and he had it for a week and a half and they are still not fixed. He has checked the motor, wiring, fuse box and they are all fine. Before he had it you could hear the relay clicking when you flicked the switch but now you don't? Any advise would be very grateful.
Find a better mechanic/electrician although goodness knows what the first one has ripped out.
The fact your fuses kept blowing would indicate a short circuit somewhere, may be from a bare wire.
- Power windows and power door locks not working on my ford ranger? I have a 2000 ford ranger lte and the power windows, door locks, and power mirrors are not working… Where is the fuse? Are they all on the same fuse? What do you think I need to check?
- My indicators and hazards have stopped working? I had this problem with my ford ka 56 plate and the relay switch got changed as they said this was the problem but 4 weeks later they have stopped working again. They don't come on at all. Any ideas what could be causing it as surely it can't be the switch again as its just been changed
- Slow mechanic, over a week just to fix the windows switch and wipers on my car? Well we gave him free curry in exchange to fix my car for free, but it's been a one week now, the windows don't go up and down, and wipers don't work, it's a ford focus 2004 3door 1.6, does it really take that long to do those two things? I dunno am not a mechanic? My car is still not ready after one week
- My gear shifter won't come out of park, my a/c, windshield wipers, and windows will not work? I have a 2001 ford focus zx3. I took it to a mechanic and he can't see me until Tuesday. He did look under the hood and said it wasn't anything simple. I've heard many things like battery cables, my computer or a fuse. What's wrong with my car and how much is it going to be to fix it?
