Slow mechanic, over a week just to fix the windows switch and wipers on my car?
Well we gave him free curry in exchange to fix my car for free, but it's been a one week now, the windows don't go up and down, and wipers don't work, it's a ford focus 2004 3door 1.6, does it really take that long to do those two things? I dunno am not a mechanic? My car is still not ready after one week
If you're not paying for the parts, and it needs parts, then it will take as long as it takes him to acquire the parts for nothing. If that's a new window switch pack, you could be in for a very long wait.
Perhaps you'll have to wait until he's hungry. Next time feed him after he's done the work.
You're right. You are NOT a mechanic, so shut up and go sit down. Your car will be ready when I say it's ready.
Sounds like an electrical fault - of which there are hundreds of circuits in a car all of which have to be tested. Could take a while.
Difficult to complain when you are paying your mechanic in curry! Try actual money next time!
Have you checked if any fuses have blown? Could be as simple as that.
Probably have a lot of business. And they will take as much time to fix it as they can. Especially if they are being paid by the hour.
Well if I was a shop owner and doing a freebee that car is the last one I would fix I would fix during non-business hours. Because it does not pay my rent. Paying customers get their cars first cause that pays the bills The freebee is done when I feel like it. Unless that curry meal gave me the sh**s I can do both repairs in a couple of hours. With parts in hand. Could have had to special order parts which one meal isn't going to cover the cost of

Must have been some awful curry! A mechanic fixing a vehicle for food is not a mechanic… It's a glorified lube boy! Repairing the wipers and electric windows should cost at least $200. How do you expect someone to fix them for a free meal?
If he is doing it all(parts and labor) for free shut up and wait

- Windows wipers stopped working I have a 53 plate Ford focus cmax and whilst driving in the rain the other day the window wipers just stopped working. So when finally got home I changed the fuse and it kept blowing so on the Monday took it to the mechanic and he had it for a week and a half and they are still not fixed. - 2012 Ford Focus Wipers go on by themselves, and don't work by wiper switch? My 2012 Ford Focus SE had a battery go dead. A day after that, the wipers went on by themselves while driving. They kept going after the car was turned off. Eventually they stopped. When I unlocked the car by remote, the wipers started again. When I need the wipers (rain) and try and turn them on by the wiper switch, nothing happens. Windshield Washer works, and all fuses are fine. Any Ideas?
