04 ford explorer windows stop working?

RonA is on the right track. Before you do anything else remove and clean every connection on the window switch in the driver's door. Power for all the windows pass through that switch and its very likely the problem is either the connections or the switch itself. On many vehicles there's also a relay for the windows located in the power distribution box under the hood that should be checked.
Safe bet is, taking the drivers door panel off and inspecting the wires feeding that switch. Power for all windows goes to that panel in your door first. Might even be pinched in the cover going through the hinge area.
Yes I even disconnected the battery for a 10 mins and still nothing

- What would cause the door locks and the trunk release to both stop working? 2002 Ford Crown Vic The other day the alarm suddenly went off, the door locks were going up and down and the trunk opened. I finally disconnected the battery for a while. After that everything was fine, except the door lock and trunk release mechanisms won't work. I have tried replacing several fuses and a circuit breaker (20 amp, CB) but they still won't work. Any ideas?

So when finally got home I changed the fuse and it kept blowing so on the Monday took it to the mechanic and he had it for a week and a half and they are still not fixed. He has checked the motor, wiring, fuse box and they are all fine. Before he had it you could hear the relay clicking when you flicked the switch but now you don't? Any advise would be very grateful.
