Radio suddenly stopped working in our Ford Escape?

We have a 2009 Ford Escape XLT. All of a sudden today, the radio will not turn on. It was working perfectly fine last night when we were listening to the satellite radio while driving home, but today the radio suddenly won't turn on at all. The display still shows the outside temperature, but it no longer displays the time and, like I said, the radio won't turn on at all, except it did come on for a very split second while we were driving, but then it went right back out again. Any ideas? Is this some sort of an electrical issue? We've had this Escape for about 2 years and it's never done this before. The only thing I can think of is that I was cleaning/vacuuming it out yesterday afternoon and shampooing the carpets since they were dirty from a long winter, so I had the doors open for quite a while, but I've done this before and it's never caused a problem and the radio worked fine last night.

Had a problem like this with my Ford Focus- it was the removable fascia (for security purposes). All it needed was to be pushed in place. No idea how it came loose but, cleaning the car seems like a possible cause of this. Though I don't know what radio you have in a Ford Escape- actually I've never heard of an "Escape" maybe they don't sell them in the UK. Hope this helps

Hi ford electrics are known not to be the best a lot like italian cars.
