1997 Ford Explorer Heat and AC Stopped working at the same time?
4.0L 4x4 Eddie Bauer Eddition 1997 Ford Explorer. My AC & Heater stopped working same time? Coincdence or not? Don't know where to start, i'm thinking relay switch to start, Help…
There are only two things that are common to both the A/C and heat… The switch and the blower so first things I'd check are the blower relay and the switch, That's assuming you've already checked the fuses.
Sounds like the switch to me…
check it out then go on to resistors and fuses etc…
- Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
- My indicators and hazards have stopped working? I had this problem with my ford ka 56 plate and the relay switch got changed as they said this was the problem but 4 weeks later they have stopped working again. They don't come on at all. Any ideas what could be causing it as surely it can't be the switch again as its just been changed
- I took my truck my truck to ford to fix a very loud noise and when I Get it back same its the same? I spent eight hundred and something dollars to get this fixed they said I should replace two of them the front and back so they can have the same life span so I forked out another 400 bucks but now when I go home and has the same noise when I turn now they're trying to sell me a wheel bearing for two hundred buckS, its been 5 days what should I do
- I have a 2000 dodge caravan and the rear heat works great but the front heat blows cold? The blower motors all work fine, has new water pump and brand new coolant. The top vents in the dash blow lukewarm warm but if you switch it to defrost it comes out ice cold but the rear heat still blows super hot air. Coolant level is full. I've read about the blend door could that be the issue? Could a coolant line to the front dash be clogged? I'm a ford mechanic but kinda stumped and have never worked on a dodge.
