Is a Ford Five-Hundred a good first car? - 1
I'm 16 (almost 17). I'm interested in getting a 2005-07 Ford Five-Hundred Limited AWD. I've found them with relatively low miles for a good price. I want to spend $3,000-$5,000. I know they're reliable. It shares the same engine and drivetrain as the Escape. Would it be a good first car? Also, does the front passenger's seat fold flat? Would it be good on a 1,200 (600 miles each way) mile road trip? My family might be moving and I want to come back and see some of my other family members. Like my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandprents.
One of the worst selling cars in Ford's history. They even changed the name to Taurus, and it's still a sales dog. Not saying it's a bad car, but if you buy one make sure you get a super low price (because nobody else wants them) and get it inspected by a mechanic before you buy.
