Ford escape stalling not throttle body?

I have a 09 Ford Escape xlt v6 3.0 and twice while driving up a hill it has stalled luckily not at high speeds. It's not the throttle body bc I replaced it 15k miles ago and when my car stalls it doesn't throw it into limp mode like the throttle body did. Lights come on the dash like they do when you have the key turned to accessory and I simply pop it into neutral and start it and keep on going like nothing ever happened

CHeck the recalls. Several fords had throttle assemblies recalled recently.

Escape models had a number of issues with the DPFE sensor /EGR system which can cause stumbling or hesitation, engine stall, etc.May check that too… Check for any stored trouble codes and TSB's. The PCM power relay is another source of problems with stalling. Normal for the various dash warning lights to come on when engine dies.
