2004 ford escape brakes pulsating?
Brakes pulsating on my 4wd 2004 ford escape xlt. We replaced both calipers and new brakes, rotors, discs and drums all the way around. Still pulsating. I'm at a loss. We have also drained fluid and put new in. Not sure what is causing this problem. At a loss of $$ or I would take it in to get diagnosed. Need help before I spend anymore on parts that aren't the problem. I hate this not safe to drive at all and the ABS light did kick on, but shut back off and hasn't been back on? Not sure what that's about.
You have replace all the usual suspects and then some. The pulsating if it is in the pedal which you indicate then there's only one thing I can think of and that would be a bent spindle or axle. Jack up each wheel and put a block on the ground and turn the wheel, it will show its self.
Have your anti lock brake sensors checked if one is bad it could be telling the your car a wheel is locking up pumping the brakes will feel just like a wrapped rotor
- Which is better? 1995 ford ranger which is stick or a 2004 Ford Escape? I'm a 16 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to have those two cars to choose from. Both have high mileage, like 350k on the ranger and 250k for the escape. Both have been serviced to a T. I really don't know which car would be best in the Long run. Meaning I don't know which one is most reliable and which one would be best for me and my use of maybe hauling my friends around. So which one do you think is the best choice?
- 2004-2008 Ford F150 vs 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500? I have been wanting to know which of these two trucks should I get? I watch videos on them but as I read the comments the controversy between the people are just left and right, "dodge is better, ford is better" but they never give an explanation why. So which truck is more reliable and why?
- Is a 2001Ford Escape's engine the same or at least similar to a 2002/2004 Ford Escape? My car is overheating and I've changed my radiator, thermostat, and reservoir and now I'm down to the water pump. I found a video on YouTube for removing the water pump and I think it was on a 2004 Escape or an 02. But I drive a 2001 Ford Escape XLT V6 3.0L 2WD and I need to know if the engines are the same or at least similar. I need to know if the water pump is in the same place?
- I have a 2001 ford escape and when I press the brakes nothing happens, Yes there's brake fluid in it? I was coming from town when I was trying to make a stop and I has to push all the way to the floor. I do have fluid in it and brakes does not pump up
