2004 Ford Freestar Electrical?

I have a 2004 ford Freestar that has been very good until lately. The windows don't work (most of the time). Radio/clock doesn't shut off when open door and drains battery. Power mirrors do not work. Wipers do not work. Interior lights work fine. I opened rear door and it turned on my radio! Is my car possessed or is there some type of electrical issue. Hoping it's an easy fix. Novice writing here!

Disconnect your neg. Battery cable. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect. This usually fixes 90% of what goes haywire on a computer veh. If not at least you cleaned off the neg. Cable.

Spray wd40 into the door latching mechanismand thedoor sensor. It is not sensing being closed or open. Need to fix that. Tried this years ago on a windstar and it worked.

That didn't do anything.

  • Would a faulty water pump, on a 04 Ford Freestar, cause the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor to go bad? There's definite spray pattern on the underside of the hood from the water pump going. Could antifreeze have gotten into the fuel rail sensor and caused it to fault? Is it possible to clean the Fuel Rail Pressure sensor or any corrosion? Part is EXPENSIVE.
  • My 04' Ford Freestar's remote starter won't work? Just got the PCM replaced and programmed and now the aftermarket remote starter won't work. It locks the doors and dash lights come on like the ignition is on but won't start?
  • I have a 2006 Ford Freestar SEL? 2 weeks ago as I was driving I heard a blast of air then my van wouldnt go. It was still running but wouldnt kick in to gear so i coasted into an approach. I put it in park then reverse n each of the other gears but it wouldnt go. My husband checked the transmission fluid and level and said it was fine. Does this mean I need to replace the whole transmission?
  • 2004 Ford Expedition electrical problem, any advice? While driving yesterday, the AC shut off and the service engine soon light came on. The car drives good but now all sorts of weird electrical things like power locks won't work the key fob won't work. It's a drag, good car, but I need the AC back!
