My 04' Ford Freestar's remote starter won't work?

Just got the PCM replaced and programmed and now the aftermarket remote starter won't work. It locks the doors and dash lights come on like the ignition is on but won't start?

It wasn't so long ago that you had to get out in the cold to start your vehicle, it didn't start for you.

If it won't start with the key's in the ignition, it's a bad starter. Tow it in to a shop or repair it yourself.

  • What is a remote car starter? Guys I have a 2004 Ford Mustang with 2 remotes and the key ofcourse, one of the remotes is to lock the car, unlock, pop the trunk, etc. And the other I'm not sure what it is but I have to give it one click then turn the ignition if I don't click this button the car doesn't start, the car came with this remote, I just want to know if I could take this feature off and what it is? Because I lost my keys for it but I have a spare, help anyone?

I have a 2005 mustang I have the ford remote that came with car already programmed and working but I have a GM remote that I was wanting to try to program so we can have 2 remotes will this work or am i wasting time thanks for any help.
  • I HAVE A2000 FORD WINDSTAR STARTER WENT OUT REPLACED IT WITH 2 OTHER STARTERS THEY DID NOT WORK SOMEONE TOLD? I was told that the year starter was a canadan starter and is not innerchagable i would have to use motorcraft is this correct
  • Why doesn't my horn work with my Ford Explorer remote fob keychain? I bought a new remote keychain fob for my 1997 Ford Explorer and I programed it, when I push the panic button only the lights flash on and off, the horn does not make a sound when pushing the panic button, however the horn is working fine otherwise, just not with the remote, I only hear a clicking noise coming from somewhere around the dash or under the steering wheel when I push the panic button, does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how it can be fixed?
