2002 ford windstar tranny fluid?
How many quarts needs to be replaced if I do a transmission fluid change the van takes a total of 13.7 quarts I know if doing a flush would need to replace all of it but if just fluid change from pan and changing filter?
Drain the fluid to a no-leak container. Measure the fluid. Put the same quantity back.
What he said, or ask at the parts store when you buy the gasket and filter kit.
- Will a 2000 Ford Windstar lx fuse box diagram be the same as a 2003 Ford Windstar fuse box? I found a link about a 2003 but I need to know if it'll be the same for a 2000. If it ain't can anyone help me out with a link showing information like this but about a 2000 model? Thanks. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t11808484-2003_ford_windstar_fuse_box_diagram
- Why did my 2000 Ford Windstar just blow all off the tranny fluid out. But now its not leaking anything? I drove it with a trailer attached all day then I dropped the trailer off and drove home. When a was turning on to my street the car violently shuck but kept going I pulled into my drive way and looked under my car and big puddle of tranny fluid everywhere. So I filled it up this morning and drove it 75 miles and when I got back I was still full on fluid and nothing was leaking. So WHY?
- When did Ford (Mercury, etc) stop using Type F Auto tranny fluid in their vehicles? Sometimes… Living in a redneck town will amaze you. Especially noticing how low the average I.Q. Is…
- I have a 1986 ford with the C6 tranny on a motorhome what fluid does it take? It looks like from what I was reading that type F is what will work but then I ran across info that states its only used in c6's from the 70's. Am I ok using type F? Also this vehicle is new to me is there anyway to tell what fluid type is in it now?
