Full size truck/SUV or mid-size truck/SUV?
I'm car shopping. I live in southeast Minnesota so we see a fair amount of snow in the winter months. I do moderate traveling so fuel efficiency isn't my biggest concern! I just can't determine what is best for me, a full size pickup/SUV (F150, Silverado, Dodge Ram, Suburban, etc) or a mid size (ford ranger, Chevy s10, Chevy Blazer, Ford Explorer, etc). I don't do a ton of heavy towing but when I do I want to know my truck has more than enough nuts to do it. Somebody give their opinion to help sway me because I can't decide for the life of me! I also intend to get aftermarket exhaust and I know V8 engines sound much better than V6 engines do when modding the exhaust so help!

If you are pulling around a big camper, you'll need to look up how much it weighs and figure out what sort of vehicle can safely tow it. It sounds like you aren't doing anything heavy-duty, so you can probably get away with a mid-size truck or SUV. This will do just fine on Minnesota roads anyway. Do they still make Ford Explorer's cause I was thinking a Ford F-150, but The Ford Ranger we've also had as well as Escape ( no longer making them) Fords are the very best cars I've ever bought. Depends all on you and the deals you get. This certainly s the time to shop for vehicles. If you can wait till 2016, you can get the very best deals of the 2105's and will have time to seriously test drive all the Dealerships etc. Best Wishes! Love my Fords! Chevy silverodo is my first choice cheap nice powerful 22mpg can haul a lot

- Would it be weird if I bought a full size van as my first car? I'm 17 and I want to buy my first car. I'm used to driving SUVs and pickup trucks. I have always liked full size passenger vans. I like being able to haul things and customize it. I really like the 1992-97 Ford E150 XLT 7 passenger van. Would it be weird if I bought one as my first car? I'm talking about a van.
- Aren't you amazed by the capabilities and the size of today's full-size pickup trucks? I drive a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x2 with a 4.0 liter V6 (~245 ci.) engine. I was looking up the specs for early-mid 1960s F100s (considered full-size), and they have nearly the same GVWR, towing capacity, payload, horsepower, wheelbase, and height as my "compact" truck. In your opinion, do you think today's full-size trucks are amazing or too fancy/over-sized (a traditionalist like me)? P.S.: I like all American vehicles
- Ford transit full-size cargo van? I'm planing buy new transit full-size cargo van, ford offer 3 engines: 3.7L TI-VCT V6, 3.5L ecoboost V6 and 3.2L I5 diesel which one would you recommend and why?
- 03 ford focus SPI single headcam. The temp. Gauge does not stay mid of the gauge? It is always little bit closer to cold side than warm side even after driving 40 miles. No engine light is on. Any idea?
