1997 ford ranger not starting, no sounds?
Truck not starting, happened before and would move key easy or shift gears and usually crank up. Now nothing, this is automatic btw. Ibe replaced the ignition lock and still nothing. I can hear the fuel pump come on so fuels not an issue. Turn key and all lights bells an all work properly just nothing when i turn it over. No sound no nothing. I'm guessing ignition switch, but really haven't a clue. If it lets it turn over its always started super easy. I'm sure the starter is good, but maybe not solenoids. Really need help
Start with the easiest items to test or replace and go from there ; battery and starter can both be tested at some auto parts stores for free ; battery cables can be checked for tightness for free ; things like an ignition switch are rare to go bad

- On my 2004 ford fusion my fob don't work the alarm sounds soon as I put the key into the door and turn it? If I pull the central locking fuse out the alarm stops so it's drivable but was wondering what could be doing it as I was thought to believe if I put the key into the ignition the alarm should stop but it don't any ideas would be most appreciated
