Why does Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge continue to market products to a customer base that no longer exists?
The automobile companies obviously are going to do whatever they're going to do…
But this is a philosophical question, and perhaps a sociological one as well…
Why would Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge bring back automobiles appealed to mostly working class teens back in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s…
and to uneducated, poor white trash adult males who contributed to America's urban social problems on the streets…
When such people are no longer a viable customer base because of Government regulations and current day economics, pay structure and modern costs of an automobile?
Because they still sell, funny how that works.
What country/world you live in?
They are still TOP selling vehicles and they don't sell to your fantasy question.
your ***-uption is incorrect.
They don't still sell because their customer base can no longer afford to drive, modern regulations in the automobile market doesn't satisfy them…
and they can't thrive under how the system works today.
These hundred-plus year old companies don't know as much about marketing as you do, evidently.
Charles, why do you keep answering your own rants?
Let me explain to you how selling a product, any product, works. You manufacture and make a product available. Then you advertise. If no one buys the product, then you stop advertising, stop manufacturing the product.
Cars sell. Also, your use of the English language is atrocious. "Why DOES Ford?"
The apparent fact that you can't afford a Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge has nothing to do with everyone else's ability to buy those products.
Mustang sales hit a high last year.
- What does it mean when it says 2004 Ford mustang base for sale? So I was looking at this article because I want a 4th generation mustang and the title says 04 Ford mustang base for sale? And i feel kinda dumb asking this because i'm a guy but what does it mean when it says base?
- Should I trade my 2014 Nissan Maxima base for a 2011 Ford Mustang Base sports package? It would be a even trade. The Mustang has the Mustang sports package with includes pipes, and a upgraded engine. Any suggestions. I would be trading a 2014 for something that is older, but better. My maxima has a sunroof, and power seats, and the Mustang doesn't.
- Ford, Dodge, Toyota or Chevrolet? I'm a Ford/Dodge kind of guy. I hear the saying, "Chevy Runs Deep." Well what's gonna tow it back out? Haha. But for real, maybe throw in some fact with your answer. Mine is that the Fords came first, they're lighter, RUSTY WALLACE, and just the entire F series.
- Does the 1995-2001 Ford Explorer continue to roll over even with good tires? This is something I get confused on. I'm looking for a Ford Explorer that does not have a large rate of rolling over. I want a Ford Explorer from the model years of 1995 to 2001 because I like the way it looks. Even so most explorers these days are not equipped with Firestone tires but even so are the Ford Explorers from 1995 to 2001 currently rollover even with good tires (ex. Goodyear)
