WHICH CAR SHOULD WE LOOK INTO BUYING?

We looking to buy a family car 5 door, we were thinking in the line of maybe a corsa or somethink like a citroen or maybe a ford cmax any idear as we never own any of these.

I would not call a Corsa a "family" car by any stretch of the imagination, it is a small car. My son reckons that 50% of the income in his garage comes from French Cars.

You need to decide how big a car you need. A C-Max is much, much larger than a Corsa, so much so that no-one should really be considering both. Citroën produce a wide range of models from the C1 (very small) to the C5 estate, Grand C4 Picasso, and van-based Berlingo and Dispatch.

What is your budget?
Is your driving mostly in towns, or outside towns? Short or long journeys?
How many people are in your family?
What age are your children - do you still need pushchairs, or prams? Or are they lanky teenagers so you need legroom in the back?

However, assuming you need a simple mid-sized (for the UK) family car, look for a Kia Cee'd with some of the original manufacturers warranty left (it was 7 years / 100,000 miles). It is an appliance rather than an enthusiasts car, but it does the job. An Astra will also be decent but cheap, a Focus a bit more expensive, but better to drive, and a Golf more expensive still, not as good to drive as a Focus, but has nicer plastics inside, but all had only 3-year warranties.

Honda vans are pretty reliable.

I would recommend audi a3 honda fit lexus ct200 Toyota hybrid. Any of these are great 5door

Do NOT buy any kind of french car. Go for german, or japanese.
