AutoZone has a lot of diagrams in their "Repair help" section. You'll need to create an account, if you don't have one.
It might be plugged into your car's radiator near the bottom. You can look for it by searching below the radiator fans for a sensor that is plugged into the radiator. You need to undo the clip to release the sensor.
Thank you for the responses. Can't find it, if it does exist. Lordco Autoparts sold me the sensor, their system claims the van has an ECT. Internet info is sparse.
- Would a faulty water pump, on a 04 Ford Freestar, cause the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor to go bad? There's definite spray pattern on the underside of the hood from the water pump going. Could antifreeze have gotten into the fuel rail sensor and caused it to fault? Is it possible to clean the Fuel Rail Pressure sensor or any corrosion? Part is EXPENSIVE.
- I have a 2006 Ford Freestar SEL? 2 weeks ago as I was driving I heard a blast of air then my van wouldnt go. It was still running but wouldnt kick in to gear so i coasted into an approach. I put it in park then reverse n each of the other gears but it wouldnt go. My husband checked the transmission fluid and level and said it was fine. Does this mean I need to replace the whole transmission?
- 2006 Ford Focus fuel pump driver location? My focus will not start, has no fuel pressure and fuel pump not working at all. Have replaced the fuel pump with a tested one and still not working. Have also tested the old one and it is also ok. The fuel gauge works ok, but fuel pump is not kicking in at all. All fuses are ok and have changed our relay also. Does anyone know where the fuel pump driver module is located please?
- Coolant Temperature Sending Unit Location? I can't find the coolant temperature sending unit location on my truck. It's a 1986 f150 with a 300 straight six out of a '78 ford. I've looked all over the internet and so far it's in none of the locations suggested, such as above the starter on the passenger side of the block, or in front of the distributor on the block.
