What was a 1985 Ford Thunderbird like?

Added (1). Was it a woman's car?

It was just about exactly like an 1985 Ford Thunderbird.

People liked em, some guys got hooked having fun nipping the mustang brother.
Pretty androgynous

It was a nice car, particularly the Turbo Coupe with a 5 speed. Very competitive in it's time.

As for whether it was a woman's car it was if a woman owned it. If a man owned it it was a mans car. All kidding aside on that, I don't think it was viewed as either a mans or woman's car, it was pretty neutral, the Turbo Coupe would have been the most manly I guess.

1985 Ford Thunderbird was sporty class and American muscle car, so I wouldn't say it was woman's car. On top of that, it was affordable for a wide range of drivers, which helped make it a success as the decade came to a close. Eventually, the Ford Thunderbird was seen more as a sporty economy car that did not produce a whole lot of horsepower, which was certainly seen as an image change. The interior of the 1985 Thunderbird saw a pretty significant redesign, while the exterior got a few tweaks here and there, including yet another new look for the front grille and rear taillights. With the look and feel of a European-style sport performance car, the comfort and options range of a luxury vehicle, and the fuel efficiency of a family sedan, the 1985 Ford Thunderbird was an easy sell. What was a 1985 Ford Thunderbird like - 1

  • 1985 Ford Mustang drivers seat does not stay upright? I have a 1985 Ford Mustang Foxbody, the drivers seat will not stay upright, it was to constantly lay back. How could I fix this without having to go find a new seat? I may have to get a new seat I understand.
  • I have a 1985 Ford 5.0 roller engine, but it isn't an H.O. What the heck have I? It's casting number is E5AE. It's got the old firing order (1.5.4.2.6.3.7.8) It's got the CFI carb fuel injection thing. Well, did. I put an Edelbrock intake on it and a 1405 600 CFM carb. While I had the intake off, I found a spider attachment, lifter stabilizers, and rollers on the lifters. I was happy to find it was a roller motor. But what the hell is it out of?! The guy I got it from thought it was from a Lincoln. What do you guys think?
  • Ford Festiva 1985 won't completely turn over? I just turned 15 and for my first car I got a Ford Festiva. Problem is it won't turn over all the way. It hasn't ran in about 4 years or so. My friends and I attempted at jump starting it and it wouldn't turn over. It just makes the noise as if it is trying to. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry not an '85 but an '88
