(He built it himself)What s your favourite classic Fords

The GT 40 was obviously an icon (Kenny), and - at the time beat the Ferrari's at their own game.

… But to come back to earth! I liked the 'Consul Classics' , especially the 'Capri' (early 60's).
A Mk1 Lotus Cortina, however would be a 'fave' of mine, in 'classic' Lotus White with the green stripe!

I did own a Cortina Mk2 GT… But thats the closest i got!

That is an Escort Mk 1
I agree with the GT 40 although I have had Escort Mk 2, Orion Mk 1, Granada Mk 2.
A friend had an Anglia

What s your favourite classic Fords

Capris, cortinas, escorts crown victorias & basically any ford except the taurus. What s your favourite classic Fords

1969 Ford Mustang.
Older 1960 to 1970s Ford trucks.

Hi the yellow car is not a anglia it is a Mark 1 escort as used by ford called a mexico. Used for rallying and road racing.
the lotus cortnia had a lotus engine and really hard suspension. The best ever has to be a ford sierra cosworth like the blue and white one in the picture walkinson also breathed life into many a mk3 carpi and bored it out to 3.2 litres. The best ford i ever saw was a ford escort rally car nothing like a road car as it had a glassfibre body. Cost 45 k pounds back in 1985.

  • Which classic car is bigger? My dad has a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Conv. I made a wise crack to him one time that I wanted a 1958 Plymouth Fury (Christine). He said that that the car was bigger then the Galaxie. But I was at work today and said something to a co-worker and they said the Fury is a good deal smaller then the Galaxie. I never got to see a '58 Fury in person so I was wanting to know, thanks.
  • Where in the UK can I hire a classic american car for self drive, ie, as driver not passenger? I want to hire a classic car preferably something like a dodge charger or ford 69 gto for a day or two as a gift to a petrol head, obviously I want him to be able to drive the car himself. We're London based but could be in surrounding areas to pick up the car.
  • What classic car should I buy? I'm a 16 year old boy, making some money this summer and throughout the next year. I really want a "classic" car (1970-1985 ish); what old cars are easy and cheap to maintain compared to other cars of their era. I like a lot of cars, Volvo, BMW, Saab, Mercedes, Acura, Audi, VW, Ford, Olds, Pontiac… I LOVE the look of old Jaguars, and I always see them for sale with low miles and a low price, but I know they're terrible to own… Thanks
  • What are some of your favorite (unpopular) classic cars? For example, Everyone loves a 1969 Camaro SS or a '57 BelAir, or even a 1979 Trans Am. But what about a 1954 Hudson Hornet, or a 1934 duesenberg? Or even a 1934 Ford with a 1000
