What is a good ford truck to drive?
Ok, so I need a good ford truck. I'm gonna be driving to school with it, and sometimes go off road with it. I'm gonna get it raised at least 2 feet off the ground, and put a lot of upgrades on it as well. It needs to look nice, sound good, and be good on the road and off road. It also needs to be fast.
It needs to be old enough or big enough to have a straight axle front
Ranger or older F-150 I guess… Ford doesn't make that many models of truck, lol

A 24 inch lift you say? Tell us more.
1996-2002 ford expedition. 1995 to 2006 explorer, ford range 1989-2005?
Don't screw around and buy a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton and lift it. That is just plane out dumb. If your going to lift a truck get an f-350 or an excursion.
- What is a really good truck to drive? Ok, so I live in Oklahoma, and I'm looking for a good truck to drive to school with. Most of the time I'll be on the road, but sometimes I'll go on dirt roads and go off-roading. At first I wanted the ford raptor, but I don't like the gas mileage on it, and my friend said that Chevy trucks are way better than ford. I'm pretty much looking for a truck that looks badass, has good gas mileage, and is good for driving off road and on road.
- Is the ford ranger a good everyday truck to drive? It's a 2007 ranger XLT with a 4.0 v6 manual and 4wd. Also random question, compared to the 2003 Honda Element awd, and 2012 Honda CR-V, is it faster the the two from 0-60 AND off the line(say from a roll start of 20 mph)?
- Is a 4x4 truck more fun than a two wheel drive truck? Always love to go off road and I love to go mud bug to thing is my Ford Ranger that was totaled the other day can't go through mud because the two wheel drive. Is four wheel drive more reliable and easier to go off road and is 4x4 more fun than two wheel drive?
- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
