What Ford engine is in this Ford 1971 LTD? - 1
Added (1). It is a 1971 Ford LTD. The seller claims it has a 460 in it but I think it is a 400 or maybe a 429.

If it's the original engine, then it wouldn't be a 460, as that didn't show up until 1974. In the pic it appears to be a 400M which is far less desirable than a 429.
I don't know s&*( about Fords, but if you can get the vin, it will tell you which engine is has. I have a vehicle 2 years older than that with a 460 in it. It gets 5 mpg doing down hill with a strong tailwind. The 240 to 429 was all that was available in the LTD in 1971.
Ok thanks
- Is this a good deal for a 1974 ford ltd? The car looks great in person, and the guy seems very trustworthy. Selling for $4,500. I'm looking for something reliable but still has some mojo and comfort.
- I have a 1975 Ford LTD, four door, with about 17,300 original miles with all the paper work for sale? This was my dad's and is going to be for sale. I'm curious what I should ask as the selling price on it. I don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is that green color that was popular back then with no damage and is very clean.
