Is this a good deal for a 1974 ford ltd?
The car looks great in person, and the guy seems very trustworthy. Selling for $4,500. I'm looking for something reliable but still has some mojo and comfort.
Is he the original owner and if so daily driver means everyday what! He works a 1/2 mile away? That's only a five digit odometer it could be 258.000 miles on it how will you know. I could smile and be nice to you too
Sounds too high to me. But if you buy it the 400 can be brought to life pretty easy. Put a RV cam and advanced timing gears and chain in it and it will amaze you as to the difference. Better gas mileage too. Another help would be to put an aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb on it. The 400 was miserably detuned at factory to supposedly help pollution.
The 400 ford was a dog smog motor. No power
Wanna know something? The 74 model should have already been set up for unleaded. I owned a 73 tbird that was unleaded, and it wasn't by option lmao… Brain? The ignition module? There's no update unless you install the next gen ignition module. I guarantee one look at the battery and those cheesy repair end terminals tells you how nice this idiot keeps this car
158,000 sounds reasonable, more than likely 258,000. Regardless of appearance, they just built em better 40 yrs ago.
The 2 dr coupe is nicer of course -
The 4dr is also cool looking too -
Make him show you the shop receipts for the head and valve work to prove the vales were upgraded.
They have a unique front grill look with the folding headlight covers. If it runs good and all of the switches work, it sounds like a good deal. The gas on the 400 cid is obviously not a consideration for you.

- Is a 2016 Ford Mustang Premium Convertible for $16,999 a good deal? The one concern I have is the mileage. It's at 73,564. Is that too high for a sports/ muscle car? It has been with two owners. Advice please?
