Is a 2016 Ford Mustang Premium Convertible for $16,999 a good deal?

The one concern I have is the mileage. It's at 73,564. Is that too high for a sports/ muscle car? It has been with two owners. Advice please?

What I'd see as the problem here is the high mileage and two owners.
That is huge mileage for a 3 year old Mustang. Most sports car do way lower than average miles. That car has done more than double average miles.
I'd guess that car has been thrashed to death.

Before you start worrying about purchase price, perhaps you should talk to an insurance agent about what it will cost to insure such a car.

Yeah, if it's a V8, I'd definitely pass. Someone's driven the heck out of that thing.

A "good deal"? No. Two owners for a 2016 = red flag. 73,564 on a 3 year old car = major red flag. Car is already out of standard and powertrain warranty. There are three near me with 40k on them for the same price.

That is higher mileage, but lots of good cars have high mileage. I would worry more about the kind of car and the kind or driver(s) it has had. A Mustang GT convertible begs to be shown off by doing a lot of performance stunts (abuse). If you find out that the owner was a long distance highway traveler, it is different than if he used it for 300,000 quarter mile drags

Don't buy a mustang if it's not a v8. Anything else is lame. I see a bunch of posers in a 4 cylinder, or a v6 mustang, thinking they're cool, but in reality, no one thinks they're nice.

Who cares about the mileage? I'm an animal lover and I have 4 cats and I personally love small cars with no leather whatsoever and I loved my dads 1997 Saturn SW2 it had a cheap plasticy interior. Unfortunately if you want a decent car, leather seats or a leather steering wheel is usually part of the deal.

  • Too Good to be true? 1997 Ford Mustang Convertible? I'm interested in buying a 1997 6 Cylinder Ford Mustang Convertible for $1500. The car runs very cleanly and it has like approx. 136,000 miles on it. The only problem is that it has been sitting in the sellers backyard for like 5 years. Could it sitting for that length of time have caused any major malfunctions that should prevent me from buying it? The seller has also said that the car has a new transmission if that helps any.

  • 2016 Ford Mustang Or Chevy Camaro 2016? Which one is overall better. Which one looks better? I can afford a v8 but I don't want to fill up my gas tank every 3 days because I drive far. Which one do you like the look of more?
