What do you think of vinyl wraps as an alternative to a new paint job? - 1
Added (1). I have an 88 Ford pick-up that needs paint. Aside from having trouble finding a shop that does a full paint job ( most around her just want to do collision repair ) I'm not fond of the idea of being without the truck for a month or longer.
What is your opinion of a full vinyl wrap as an alternative?
It'll buy you about 5 years. That's as long as it lasts. If it's worth it to you, go for it. Just make sure you fix the rust first.
The body has to smooth, no door dings or dents, otherwise air bubbles.
I absolutely approve - I know some say "what if it gets vandalised?", but hey, an 4$$-hole can do that to your shiny paint-job too. I'm considering a partial wrap on a few of my cars, I love the purposeful look of a matt carbon-fibre weave effect.
- Cost of paint job on a pickup? Just bought a '93 Ford Ranger and looking to paint it blue with white racing stripes. Looking for an estimate on costs.
- Matte Black vs Gloss Black Vinyl stripes? So I have a Ingot Silver 2014 Ford Mustang and was wondering what stripes would look the best on it. I heard that gloss shows every little imperfection (scratches) while with matte black, you can't wax them. I'm leaning more on matte black just because I know that seeing the little scratches on the gloss black over time will really irritate me.
- Could I use spray paint to paint my car a different color? I currently have a red 2015 ford Mustang, but I want to paint it black and add a few designs to it. Could i pull this off with regular spray paint or is there a certain kind i must use?
- About how much would it cost to get a paint job on my car? I got a 2007 ford mustang, I bought it used for a really good price, i'm looking to change the color of it though. Its royal blue right now but my end goal is white with 2 black stripes, and black rims. I realize this will be pricey, but can someone give me an honest quote?
