About how much would it cost to get a paint job on my car?
I got a 2007 ford mustang, I bought it used for a really good price, i'm looking to change the color of it though. Its royal blue right now but my end goal is white with 2 black stripes, and black rims. I realize this will be pricey, but can someone give me an honest quote?
It depends… You can get a range of services. When you change colors, you can STILL do a MAACO Ambassador paint job for under $1,000, but that won't include the door jambs, fender wells, under hood, under trunk, etc. You can go the full monty, and really, the sky is the limit… $5,000 wouldn't be considered expensive, and that's PAID IN FULL, no financing.
Probably at least 3 Grand for a decent paint job, anything less the shop will ruin your car.
Very Pricey… I can't get my head around that. Look at multiple K's. Every auto body shop has to see it first and they all differ in their prices. There's Free Enterprise here, not a set price looked up in a book.
- Is it possible to get a new transmission for an older car, if so, how much would it cost? I'm looking at buying a 2003 Ford Taurus with 85,000 miles on it. No, there are no transmission problems. I'm just thinking that if it were done now, that could add a lot of life onto the vehicle. And it would make sense because my estimate is that a new transmission is less that what this car is worth. The car is 5K.
