What?
Maybe.
Buy some "oil dry' granules and cover the oil spill on your driveway- work it in let sit a couple of days scrub with stiff bristle brush using a bucket of hot water mixed with copious amounts of Dawn dish liquid. Rinse dry repeat. Or speak with the Ford dealer about paying for clean up costs.
- Is it ok to drive a car with a transmission fluid leak for a week before getting fixed? I have a 2007 ford ranger with only 38k miles on it, recenntly I have been having minor delays when shifting into drive from reverse before it catches and I actually move forward. So i checked my transmission fluid which seems to be pretty low a good amount below the cross hatched area. So I added more fluid and then saw some leak onto the garage floor within 30mins. I have not seen any leak before, could i still drive it before i get it fixed next week without causing more damage?
- Have 98 Ford Ranger, 4.0, 171,000 miles, auto trans with limited slip. I've owned truck since new and have changed trans fluid every 30-35 000 miles and have never towed anything. The majority of the 171,000 miles are interstate driving. The truck shifts fine with no jerking or slippage. What I do get is thump(s) in rear end when I come to a stop, as gears are downshifting. Do I need a new transmission? Any suggestions? I suppose it's a "clunk" I hear and feel when I come to a stop, not a thump.
- Can Fire department charge you for their service? My Ford Ranger caught fire when I was driving on I-5 in Oregon and got destroyed. It took 40 mins for the Fire Department to show up. By then, everything was burned down. So they basically didn't have to anything. Now they are sending me a $150 bill for their service. How can they do this? I had minimum liablity insurance, so my insurance company is not covering it. As a tax payer, why do I have to pay for this kind of services? Have you handled anything like this?
- My 2000 Ford Windstar has a coolant leak. What could be causing it to leak? It has two leaks. One is from the passenger side near the front tire and the second is right below the driver's seat. I have to replace the coolant after I have had the heater on for a bit. I never have it on for more than 15 min. Not because the coolant runs out in that time but I just don't use it for long. I took it to the mechanic and he stated it was the "lower intake manifold gasket". I'm asking if anyone has any other ideas because that repair is pretty pricey.
