Should I wait until I graduate from high school to buy a car?

I'm a 16 year old guy and I'm having trouble deciding whether to buy a car next year or wait until I graduate from high school. I worry about older cars with higher miles because they could be great or they could have little time left. I live in a place where everything is pretty much a 5 minute walk. My family memebers and my parents friends will let me drive their cars whenever I need them or they'll give me a ride so, I don't really need a car. Why should I pay for insurance and gas for a car I don't need? If I buy a car when I graduate, it will be 5-6 years old and will me going to college with me. What should I do? The older car might be something like an old beat up car with high miles. I need AWD/4WD for winter. The newer cars I want are either a 2010-12 Ford Taurus AWD or a 2011 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD. What should I do? Should I wait until I graduate from high school or buy one next year?

I might go for a little bike as everything is close to you

Have you heard the term "good things come to those who wait" before?

I say since you don't need one right now, start saving to buy one when you graduate. The prices will be a little cheaper and you might have the extra money to get one with more options. It's better to take your time with buying a car instead of rushing into it.
