P1744 code on a ford taurus? I know what it is and have change the TCC solenoid but the car still doesn't go?
When put into gear. I also have changed the fluid due to it smelling burnt when the car just all of a sudden wouldn't go. Press gas and it just revs up. This is a 98 taurus.

Burnt fluid usually means internal slipping in the clutches in the transmission.
Did you see any traces of material in the pan whan you chamged the fluid?
