My car is over heating?
I literally replaced EVERYTHING I COULD THINK OF. My moms boyfriend is a "mechanic" but he seems to make everything WORSE. I'm so upset it's annoying. It's a 2007 Ford Taurus (a complete piece of ****) and I want to resolve this issue. I can't afford a new car anytime soon.
Did you change the fan belt. It could be loose and slipping and not turning the water pump
Thanks for giving us a chance to earn extra points by reporting you because you are venting, swearing, and not asking a question as required by the rules.
It is a Ford. The head gasket is blown. Time for a new engine.
I can't believe that didn't work. I replace everything too when diagnosing. Everybody does that. I usually get my wifes boyfriend to do the repairing. Always works.
If you replaced "everything you can think of", it's unlikely someone on here will suggest something you haven't tried. Maybe it's the head gasket, like someone else suggested. Just take it to a mechanic, which is free.
- What causes problems starting a car and the engine to misfire going over 60 mph? This problem started about two months ago. I have a 2006 Ford Taurus. So far no mechanic can figure out the problem. They have replaced all of the spark plugs (numerous times because they keep going bad), an engine coil, the crankshaft position sensor, the battery, did a tune-up, ran a $100 diagnostic test and still the problem occurs. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? I forgot that they also did a coolant flush.
- Ford Ranger over heating problem? I have a 2004 ranger edge 4.0L V6. I keep having a an overheating issue only when going up hill. I tried checking the fan clutch, doesn't even get passed one rotation so I think thats good. I don't think it is the water pump as that went out on me about 2-3 years ago and was replaced. Should I do a coolant flush? What are some other test i can do to determine the cause of the problem? Also it was bubbling/overflowing from the reservoir today (first time that has happened)
- May car tries to turn over while the key is the accessories position. Why is that? Car is a 1971 Ford Mustang 302 5.0 V8. I replaced all the gaskets, rebuilt the carb, had a new solenoid, voltage regulator, started, coil, timing chain, and oil pump put into the car. I'm getting a new Neutral Safety switch for the vehicle but could that be it?
- I have a Ford Fusion 2008V V6. The AC-Heating blower motor is making a cricket sound? I have a Ford Fusion 2008V V6. The AC-Heating blower motor is making a cricket sound. It works fine but once in blue it makes that sound. My question is. Do I need to replace it or can I just leave it like that?
