I have white smoke coming out of my hood?
I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and I know that the white smoke indicates a coolant burn or leak but the thing is my coolant lvl has not dropped for a very long time and has stayed at the same level for a while I checked in the morning for spots under the car for a leak and there's none and the smoke is very little almost unseeable I can only see it when the head light is on and almost instantly goes away after the car is turned off it runs just fine I have been due for a tune up and oil change any ideas on what could be wrong?
I had a Ford Taurus once, I traded it in for a Honda Accord (used). When I returned to the car dealer just 2 days later there was another guy there trying to dump his Ford Taurus. It's a good car to get rid of, very problematic!
It may be a valve cover leaking oil onto the exhaust manifold. Small amounts of oil don't look blue when vaporized.
- White smoke coming from exhaust, Ford Zetec 1999 petrol? I have no other problems with the car, it has 1/2 tank petrol, and oil. At first I thought it may be the cold but, it happens too often for that.
- Steam/smoke coming from engine? 2001 Ford Taurus, V6. Only 86K. Just to note had the car over 6 months now. Works great nothing weird going on, except steam or smoke coming from engine but I noticed only comes from front end and when it's night and cold outside I can see it. I just change the reservoir about a month ago. The air does have a small leak that I know of. What are your thoughts? Please & Thank you.
- Smoke coming from exhaust after 15-20 mins of driving? I have a 1976 ford ltd 7.5l. It drives fine but after maybe 15-20 minutes smoke starts to come from the exhaust pipes. I checked the oil and radiator and it looks fine. Oil and radiator fluid is not mixing.
- Humming Noise coming from under the hood. Any ideas? I have a 2008 Ford Fusion SE 4 Cylinder with 78,000 miles on it. When I accelerate I hear a humming noise coming from the front. The higher the RPM's the louder it gets. The sound begins after 1000 RPM's. I sat it and parked it and put my foot on the gas pedal and went up to 4,000 RPMS and it sounded like a siren you would hear in the movies for like code red or something I don't know. I have no idea what it may be. Answers would be very much appropriated.
