I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and I hit a rock, I need to know how to fix it?

I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and I hit a rock that was under the snow, as I kept driving my steering wheel only controlled the drivers front wheel, the passenger wheel rode free, now when I start the car and put it in drive my car only shakes like a dryer, I need to know what's wrong, anything will help, thanks

Jack it up and see what's broken.

Sounds like at least a tie rod, which is part of the steering, and one of the CV shafts or front drive shafts. Other parts of the front suspension could be broken or bent as well. Until you have a look, that's only guessing.

You want a bunch of guesses?! At least it sounds like you broke a tie rod end on the right side (passenger side) of the vehicle. The motor shaking requires having the vehicle to inspect to find the problem.
