Heater isn't hot enough in my car, is there a way to make the heater better?
I drive a 1998 Ford Taurus Wagon, the heater on it is alright but when it's 10 degrees outside it kinda sucks.
Is there an actual way to make your heater hotter?
If the thermostat is stuck open or opens at too low of temperature, that will cause a problem with low temperature air coming from the ducts. With that old of a vehicle, the door and window seals are probably leaking and allowing too much heat out (cold air in).
Check that the thermostat is functioning properly, the coolant flow through the heater core is not blocked and that the fresh air flaps closely fully so the colder ambient air does not mix with the air flowing through the core.
- My heater core is hot to the touch that I remove my finger after 2-3secs normal? I reasently replaced my thermostat and hose going to my thermostat. My heater core is hot to touch and I'm wondering if it's normal on a 91 Ford ranger 3.0 v6 manual? There are no leaks on passenger side
- What could be the problem if the coolant drains fast and once it drains out the heater doesn't get hot? There's also a smell to it, and the coolant only last for about 2 days… What culd the problem be for a 2010 ford mustang
- Changed heater control valve AND panel and still only hot air? It's a ford ka… Was blowing hot air out air con when switched off. So changed the valve and worked for a day then back to normal… Changed the panel (2nd known problem) and that hasn't worked? When my engine is off… I can get cold air?
- Changed ford ka heater control valve. Still blowing hot air? My car was blowing got air constantly when off or on cold dial. Iv changed the heater control valve twice and now it still blows hot but then does work at times (blows cold on cold). What now?
