Changed ford ka heater control valve. Still blowing hot air?
My car was blowing got air constantly when off or on cold dial.
Iv changed the heater control valve twice and now it still blows hot but then does work at times (blows cold on cold). What now?
Check the two wires which connect to the valve when it doesn't work, see if there's power if not then it's electrical. Could possibly be the rheostat fault or a gate flap.
Look under dash to see how the flaps are working. Look at the levers as you set the dial it sounds like heater flap not closing properly.
- Heater isn't hot enough in my car, is there a way to make the heater better? I drive a 1998 Ford Taurus Wagon, the heater on it is alright but when it's 10 degrees outside it kinda sucks. Is there an actual way to make your heater hotter?
- Why is my 93 ford ranger 5 speed 3.0 heater now blowing out cold air? I have a 93 ford ranger. Last winter the heater worked descent. Blowing above warm air. Not as warm as my newer model car but it worked. The beginning of this winter it wasn't quite as warm as last year. Within 2-3 weeks its now blowing out cold air (defrost panel floor all vents). Last night at roughly 25-30 degrees I drove it approx. 10 miles occasionally turning heater/defrost on to try to defrost windshield some and upon returning home it sounded like boiling water under the hood.
- Changed heater control valve AND panel and still only hot air? It's a ford ka… Was blowing hot air out air con when switched off. So changed the valve and worked for a day then back to normal… Changed the panel (2nd known problem) and that hasn't worked? When my engine is off… I can get cold air?
- Why Does Replacing Idle Air Control Valve on 2002 Ford F150 not correct Idle issue? Got A check engine light. Code said Idle Air Contol Valve. Purchased A control valve at parts store. Replaced control valve with new one. Engine Idled up real high. Attempted driving, thought computer had to reset. Engine still idled up too high. Parts store said vehicle had to be driven for at least 20 miles for control valve to operate correctly. Drove truck 30 miles, engine started to surge. Put old control valve back in and engine does not idle high or surge but stalls out.( suggestions) ?
