Consequences of not replacing a bad heater core in 2002 Ford taurus? - 1
Being cold in the wintertime.
Coolant leaking inside the car, possibly leading to engine overheating.
As long as you bypass it, the only consequence is you won't have heat.
Hi simple the labour costs involved in such an enterprise.
Cons = loss of fluid? Staining interior potentially. Smell. Over heating of engine ( due to coolant loss and pressure drop in system) more cost for rectification rather than interceding early. Lack of heating. Lack of heat to windscreen to assist defrosting. Finally if we lose enough coolant we risk engine issues that may be very expensive.
No heat and a wet floor.
- My heater core is hot to the touch that I remove my finger after 2-3secs normal? I reasently replaced my thermostat and hose going to my thermostat. My heater core is hot to touch and I'm wondering if it's normal on a 91 Ford ranger 3.0 v6 manual? There are no leaks on passenger side
- How long does it take to install a heater core in a 2005 Ford Freestyle? I have a Ford Freestyle 2005 and i was wondering how long it should take my mechanic to the job?( Labor hours)
- How long can i drive without a heater core and can the fume be harmful? My heater core was damaged and has been removed from my car. Both hoses were sealed afterwards. I have a 1995 ford E150.
- 76 ford f250 heater core I need to replace the heater core in my 76 ford or at least I think from my guess it is that. When I start it in morning (even in this warm weather) the windshield will steam up and it smells like anti freeze in the cab and motor gets hot fast. That is the heater core right? And also, if it is the heater core, it's just under the passenger side dash right? Thank you very much in advance any help is greatly appreciated!
