Then you need a rebuilt tranny. Once an automatic transmission slips it's no good.
Either the fluid is low, or a rebuild will be forthcoming.
Check fluid level. On the Taurus we usually add about a half quart over the correct level due to the transmission problems with this transmission. Find local shop at ATRA.COM FOR MORE Help
Cool
Its either low on fluid for outbox or we have fault with gearbox. Could be as simple as adjusting a brake band or exchange box if clutch discs worn out. Unlikely to be oil actuation hydraulic pressure. See an auto technician for diagnostic checks and quote of fix.
- P0300 Code on Ford Taurus but car runs fine? Hi, i have a 2006 ford taurus, only has 55,000 miles on her, and all of the sudden this code popped up on me today. The car had been driving fine, and still does. Definitely have not felt it missfire or buck at all. Despite a small exhaust leak, everything on the car is in great condition and has been running great. Should i be worried and does it need a fix?
