2003 ford taurus 208k miles torque converter went out what to do?

So i'm being charged $1300 to get it replaced and there's no pressure from thr torque converter will my tranny go out soon or what will happen? I'm ar 208k miles this car is a 9.5/10 body wise and engine wise so i don't know if i should get the tranny rebuilt too or should the tranny be good if its already made it very close to 209k miles?

No pressure means the pump not working the inner splines of the torque converter are stripped and not turning the pump shaft. Now the 64k question rebuilt will run another 8-900 bucks on top of the 1300. So do you want to put that money into a car with 208k on it or find another car. Really your call not ours is how we tell our customers

Unfortunately it needs to be replaced. I'd find a guy that does it on the side at home. You might save half the cost of a business doing it.
