Should I take my car to the Ford place?
I get these like Ford coupons in the mail that say my car needs a checkup for it's 185000 miles. It says you can get:
THE WORKS™ FUEL SAVER PACKAGE. MUCH MORE THAN AN OIL CHANGE.*
Oil Change - Tire Rotation and Pressure Check - Brake Inspection - Multi-Point Inspection - Fluid Top-Off - Battery Test - Filter Check - Belts and Hoses Check
All this for $39.95. BUT, I already know that a few things are wrong with my car (needs a new battery, coils, tires, spark plugs, etc) Will they charge me for that? Like they won't charge me extra or anything because it's torn up? They'll only charge me the $40? I can't afford to get all that stuff fixed right now, which is why I just have to slowly build up to it. My mom said you got to watch them because they'll charge you a whole bunch of money when you go up there.

Obviously they aren't going to fix everything that's wrong with your car for $40. Basically what you get for your $39.95 (plus tax and any shop/disposal fees) is an oil change and a tire rotation, and they'll give your car a once over inspection and tell you what else needs to be fixed. They won't actually fix anything. It's basically just an oil change and tire rotation. If your car has other issues, they tell you about them, and maybe give you an estimate for how much they would charge for repairs, but they won't perform any repairs without your authorization.
- Does my car have a place for me to plug in my phone and listen to my own music? I have a light blue 2005 Ford Taurus. I want to listen to my own music and not the stuff on the radio, but I don't think that there's a place to plug in my phone. I have a cd player but not a tape player (is that what it's called? I'm not sure.) Does anyone know if this type of car has a place to plug in my phone or if there's another way to do it?
- Can I transfer my car payments and car to a 17year old from a buy here pay here place? I have a good question… I got a 98 jeep grand Cherokee limited from ridenowautosales.com I'm still currently making payments. A family friend told me he d sell me his 98 Ford v8 supercharged mustang for 500$ because he needs it gone. Back to the question, my friend is 17 and desperately needs a car would I be able to transfer the jeep and payments into his name? I love the jeep and all but not the 10mpg any help would be awesome!
- Is a dealership the best place to get my car repaired? I have a 2014 Ford vehicle that I haven't even had for a year yet. Someone rear ended me and now I have to take it in to repair the damage. The other persons insurance is covering the cost. Since the car is not even a year old, I want to make sure that I get OEM parts installed. Is taking it to the Ford Dealership my best bet or will I be fine taking it to a respected independent? I just want to make sure I get it back the same way it was before.
- Should I take my car into the auto shop? I don't know anything about cars but I have a 2012 Ford Focus and when I was driving recently I got an alert that the transmission was hot and I needed to stop driving. Also when ever I'm driving and put the heat on it smarts to smell like burning rubber.
